When Jon and I went to California in July we really wanted to do a shoot at Big Sur. We've seen such gorgeous photos from there and wanted to do something since we were visiting family about an hour away. So we reached out to some people on Instagram and Rising Tide to see if they wanted to collaborate and we met Clint and Katie.
When you meet people of social media it's always hard to tell if you'll connect or not, but when we met Clint and Katie it was like we had been friends a long time! They were so easy to work with and had such a genuine love for each other. We had a great time, although the Cali wind was a little difficult to work with at times!
Here is a little Q&A that we did with Katie about her and Clint. Enjoy, and we hope you enjoy the photos!
1. How did you two meet and when?
Clint moved from Salt Lake City, Utah to Seiling, Oklahoma in 1999. We met in school through friends. Seiling had a population of around 900 people at the time, so everyone knew everyone. Clint was friends with everyone. He moved back to SLC around 2001, and then moved back to Oklahoma again around 2010. He Facebook messaged me to meet up and hang out in Oklahoma City. He said he went through profiles of people he knew in the area and messaged the ones who looked the most fun! Lol so my best friend Maddie and I met up with him at the state fair. We were best friends after that, and a few months later, ended up dating.
2. What do you like about each other? Can be silly or serious ❤️
I'd say that what we like most about each other and our relationship is we are literally best friends and inseparable. We believe this is the best kind of relationship and marriage to have. Not to mention, we both think we're hilarious and extremely attractive. 😂😉
3. Where do you see yourselves in five years?
In 5 years, we hope to be living back in Oklahoma around our closest friends and family. We plan to build a house and hopefully add a baby boy to the family!
4. What are you looking forward to most on your wedding day?
Making our love "official" and sharing our special moment with our closest friends and family.
5. Any advice for newly engaged in the planning process?
Elope or have a destination wedding. 😂💁 if that isn't an option, hire a wedding planner who will basically do everything for you.
